Pilots | Tim Steiner
Tim Steiner has been flying balloons since early 1994. His career started as crew chief for Global Ballooning in Mansfield with Kiff. He became the pilot for the Mansfield region after Kiff trained him to fly. Tim boasts the title of Australian National Balloon Champion 2002.
Tim has also worked as an aircraft pilot in outback Queensland on a cattle station. This involved many hours flying low mustering cattle and dodging huge sand dunes.
His love of flying has also seen Tim participate in gliding, hang gliding and powered hang gliding.
Ballooning offers many challenges and opportunities to travel and meet wonderful people. "What more could you ask of a job?" says Tim.
