Our very own Despina Karatzias has won the national Len Taylor Young ATEC Award for Excellence, which recognises outstanding contributions to Australia's tourism export industry. 

Despina received the award at this month's Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) Symposium.

This award is a fantastic recognition of achievement for Despina and for Global Balloonings international marketing efforts over the past several years.

5 Feb 08 : Global Ballooning is a proud sponsor of the 150th Anniversary of the first balloon flight in Australia, which took place in the City of Yarra. Mansfield residents may have noticed a balloon soring over the region earlier this month. It was actually a training flight for Global Ballooning crew and it was a matter of being at the right place at the right time for Adrian McRae and his girlfriend. Adrian and Kilee joined our crew for a flight and he popped the question...she said yes!

Sanjay Gupta has joined the Global Ballooning team and will be flying primarily over the Yarra Valley. Sanjay was born in India and has lived in the Netherlands and the US, has earned his masters degree in science, and has flown balloons in a number of Dutch and German National Championships. With his experience and laidback nature we are lucky to have Sanjay on board.
